About Us

Liberty Furnishings is a family owned and run independent business based in Newtown. Our success has been built on product knowledge, customer service and value for money.

Formed in 2005 by Nicky Gilligan, Liberty Furnishings have now moved their showroom to the prestigious Royal Welsh Warehouse in Newtown, known locally as Pryce Jones. With over 27 years of experience in the furniture and flooring industry we are committed to offering expert advice and top quality workmanship.

We know that choosing flooring or furniture can be a daunting process and at Libertys we are committed to helping you every step of the way. With no high pressure selling techniques and falsely inflated prices our experienced staff will ensure that the whole process is enjoyable and hassle free from the moment you set foot in our showroom packed full of the latest flooring, beds, furniture, accessories, curtains and blinds.

We have made a conscious effort to move away from the bland and uninspiring and we want to help transform your home with the latest and exciting brands in the industry. We specialise in designer flooring brands such as Karndean and Crucial Trading where the limits really are your imagination. We will work alongside you to create truly original flooring for every room in the home.

We stock a massive range of traditional and modern carpets to suit any style or interior. From the luxury of plain wool carpets to more modern stripes and adventurous colours we can find the perfect flooring for you. We also stock a vast amount of vinyls for kitchens and bathrooms along with laminate flooring in 100s of different finishes and qualities.

We can bring samples to your home to ensure that colours and styles will compliment your home and measure any areas to ensure minimum wastage and efficiency which will often save you money. We have our own fitters who have worked for us for many years and they will make sure of a top quality and guaranteed finish.

We are also committed to helping our customers get the best night's sleep. We have over 30 beds and mattresses on display as we are aware that with beds, no one feel suits all. We encourage our customers to relax and take their time when choosing a bed and we have the quality, comfort levels and prices to suit every individual requirement. Choose from Latex, Memory Foam, Pocket Springs, Natural Fillings and the latest in bedding technology - Medical Foam designed to maximise back support. The options are endless and whatever the feel or quality we'€™ll be able to find it.

We have designed a comfort rating system covering every bed and mattress in our range which will help to narrow down your options. We want the whole process to be easy and enjoyable so you can browse and make decisions without distraction, we know how personal choosing a bed can be.

We also have a great display of bed frames from traditional and modern metal frames to bespoke wooden frames that can be enhanced with a Farrow & Ball painted finish and complimented with matching furniture. We want YOU to choose and design the perfect product for you not just pick something off the shelf - we want you to feel as inspired as we do.

We have recently extended our furniture range, showcasing some beautiful living and bedroom ranges from contemporary occassional pieces to bespoke furniture that can be designed by you.
